Notary Public & Certified True Copies
Notary Public & Certified True Copies in Malaysia
Notarial certification, certified true copies, statutory declarations and signature witnessing, arranged with licensed notaries public.
Many foreign authorities ask for documents to be notarised, or for a certified true copy instead of the original. In Malaysia, notaries public are appointed under the Notaries Public Act 1959 and can certify copies, witness signatures and attest documents for international use.
ABC Translation arranges notarisation with licensed notaries public and, where appropriate, statutory declarations before a Commissioner for Oaths. Because we also handle translation and legalisation, the notarial wording is prepared to match what Wisma Putra and the destination embassy expect.

Frequently asked questions
What is a certified true copy?
A photocopy that an authorised person — such as a notary public — has compared with the original and certified as a true copy, with signature, stamp and date.
Do I need to be present for notarisation?
For signature witnessing and declarations, yes — the notary must verify your identity in person. For certified true copies we usually only need the original document.
